Guiyang holds event to promote safe production

A promotional event on the theme of safe production was held on June 16 in the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province by the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, according to local officials.

Officials said the bureau established a leading group and formulated a thorough plan to publicize general knowledge about safe production and disaster prevention through display panels, brochures and public consultation.

The bureau designed one promotional banner and four display panels for the event. More than 100 citizens asked for a consultation, and over 200 brochures were distributed.

Officials said the event further strengthened citizens' awareness of the necessary safety measures when dealing with geological hazards.
