The Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning held a meeting on July 2 to discuss overall programming progress on information system construction.
The divisions of surveying and mapping geography and of science and technology information reported their progress on the programming work at the meeting, and the Guizhou Post and Telecommunications Planning and Design Institute explained its progress on compiling idea. Offices and bureaus of public institutions raised their requirements respectively.
A director of the Guizhou Land and Resources Technical Information Center suggested that the system construction should use uniform platform results among those departments in charge of natural resources in districts and development zones.
The duplicated construction of existing platforms and data should be avoided. Cloud platform data were suggested to guarantee security. The importance of comprehensiveness and solidity in professional platforms was also affirmed. In addition, the built-up basic geographic information unified platform should be brought on line, three dimensional data should be added into the planning, and a team of specialist skilled workers should be trained.
Rao Xiaoxi, deputy director general of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, emphasized that the programming was supposed to meet new requirements with particular characteristics. With detailed lists for a three-year plan, local departments ought to carry out research work to facilitate promotion, application and decision-making.
Gao Yang, the bureau's secretary of the Party committee, pointed out that the programming should be forward looking and have a superior consciousness. Efforts should be taken regarding integration and promotion in order to solve problems practically and help the bureau make a systematic overall three-year plan for information system construction.
