Guiyang makes real estate registration much easier

The real estate registration center in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, rolled out two convenient measures for residents on Nov 17.

In cooperation with the government service center of Huaxi district, Guiyang's real estate registration center has launched a "one-step procedure" system, which allows people to handle real estate registration, household registration transfer and water and electric network transfer at the same time. The one-stop service has been operating since September.

Departments in charge of real estate registration, public security and household registration, broadcasting networks, and water, power and gas supply now receive only one application.

When dealing with local second-hand housing transaction procedures, people are only required to submit an application letter, a set of materials and voluntarily choose free delivery through China Post.

The latest statistics show that relevant one-step transaction volume totaled 364 since September, with a handling time of two working days on average.

Together with the government service center of Baiyun district, Guiyang's real estate registration center also started to handle housing stock transactions from Nov 3. The service can be completed in one hour.

The new measures mean that the age of waiting five working days for a real estate certificate are behind us – now that the document can be issued on the spot.
