Li Chunsheng, deputy director of the Guiyang Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning, visited two coal mines in Huaxi district, Guiyang, Guizhou province in Southwest China on Nov 19.

The geological environment recovery progress of mines in the district was examined, and Li discovered that farmlands at the two coal mines are uncultivated, how low fertility, lack farming conditions, and suffer from insufficient management and housing use.

Li ordered the mines to take measures to cultivate the farmlands, recover farming conditions, improve the geological environment, renovate deserted houses, and promote the intensive and economical utilization of land.

The two coal mines must also screen discarded mine sites so as to discover and solve potential geological environment problems in time.
