A team of officials from the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning on Dec 15 visited the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Led by Wu Xianggui, deputy director of the bureau, they learned about progress of the zone's 15-minute community life circle work program – which aims to establish a broad set of community services, including supermarkets, shops and the like within a quarter-hour stroll of residents.
The team launched a research tour in two 15-minute community life circles in the economic zone, along with support facilities around the circles, such as a fresh produce market and parking lots.
A work session followed the tour, in which Wu stressed the need for time management during the construction process of the zone's four 15-minute community life circles.
Wu emphasized that it was important to clarify the responsibilities of each official in charge. He also pledged to offer more resources for their construction.
