The Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning organized a rural architecture heritage reservation exhibition in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Jan 20.

The exhibition was designed to promote Guizhou's rural architecture heritage to the outside world and raise awareness of the importance of preserving the heritage, which has been requested for inclusion in the nation's rural revitalization strategy.

Guizhou is currently home to 724 villages which are included in China's traditional village list, more than anywhere else in the country, and 16 of them are recognized as renowned cultural and historical villages in China.

The exhibition emphasized the geographical uniqueness of the province and called on people to restore rural landscapes.
