Expert panel sent to research mine restoration

An expert panel sent by the Department of Natural Resources of Guizhou Province on Feb 17 conducted a visit to the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning – located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – to talk about the restoration of mines.

There, they held discussions with staff of the bureau's restoration office, as well as with technical managers at Guizhou Non-ferrous Geology Engineering Investigation Co.

The panel are expected to support Guiyang's move to integrate abandoned mines that are to be restored, within an ecological restoration demonstration program.

This would involve abandoned mines that are located along the main bodies of water that flow across Guizhou at the Yangtze River basin, including the Wujiang River and the Chishui River.
