Anshun city officials visit Guiyang bureau to hold talks

Ran Wei, deputy head of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – on March 15 received visiting officials from the Anshun bureau of natural resources and planning.

Anshun is a prefecture-level city located in the southwest of Guizhou province. A study session was held on the day, which focused on mapping terrain and geographic information managing, among other things. Staff members from Guiyang Institute of Surveying and Mapping also attended the meeting.

The two sides exchanged views and successful practices relating to the application, implementation, and fund utilization for basic surveying and mapping projects. Other subjects included training personnel, performance assessments and the operating model of the Guiyang natural resource satellite application technology center.

Yuan Yuwen, deputy head of the Anshun bureau, highlighted Guiyang's leading role especially in the basic surveying and mapping and geographic information.

Guiyang's Ran welcomed more talks, adding that the city of Anshun was an important regional hub in Guizhou.

Ran said the province would launch the deployment of the Guiyang-Guian-Anshun metropolitan area during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), when both bureaus would find more opportunities to work together.
