Technology center to participate in provincial program

The remote sensing and big data program applied by the Guiyang Natural Resources Satellite Application Technology Center, Wuhan University, Guizhou Tuzhi Information Technology Co, and five other institutions was recently approved by the Guizhou Science and Technology Department.

The project includes four directions and 12 sub-directions, and the Guiyang Natural Resources Satellite Application Technology Center will undertake one sub-direction with a three-year research period and a total of 25 million yuan ($3.73 million) in funds.

The program is designed to obtain remote sensing data in real time and interpret them automatically through technology to meet the application demands of departments in natural resources, the environment, rural development and agriculture, and disaster prevention.
