Guiyang to be pilot city for national basic surveying and mapping project

The Ministry of Natural Resources approved Guiyang's application to become a pilot city for the national new basic surveying and mapping project on July 28, making Guiyang the first such pilot city in Southwest China.

Moving forward, a leading group consisting of officials from the Guizhou Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning will be formed to carry out the project.
