The provincial surveying and mapping legislation research team consisting of 14 officials from the provincial departments of natural resources, environment and resource protection and justice visited the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province on Nov 16.
The team first visited survey marks in Guanshanhu district and then moved to the Guiyang institute of surveying and mapping to take a look at relevant infrastructure.
At a symposium held on the same day, the team was introduced to the institute and listened to reports on illegal acts in the surveying and mapping and geomatics field.
Rao Xiaoxi, deputy director of the bureau, said he appreciated the guidance of leaders and hoped that the research team could consider the practical needs of the city in advancing and applying new technologies, and offer basic surveying and mapping services to government bodies.
