To restore mines in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, a work training conference was held on Aug 19 by the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning.
The meeting was chaired by Liu Qixin, director of the real estate registration center, with the participation of offices in charge of ecological restoration, mining rights, land use control, and spatial planning, as well as the bureau's branch in Guiyang's districts and counties.
In recent years, the city's protection and restoration work on mines has achieved impressive results through the joint efforts of the entire natural resources system. Based on the Technical Specifications for Mine Rehabilitation issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources, the bureau has formulated a trial version of the open pit mine rehabilitation approval standard for the city.
Director Liu emphasized the strict implementation of the new standard in subsequent mine restoration and management work.
