Farmland protection meeting held

The Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning held a special symposium on farmland protection on Sept 9.

The extreme importance of protecting arable lands was pointed out at the meeting, and it was stated that the city's resource planning system should have clear goals, accurate identification of problems, and precise problem-solving paths.

It was also stated that the system should crack down on illegal occupation of arable lands in accordance with the law, make full use of high-frequency and high-resolution satellite remote sensing technology to dynamically monitor arable lands, and strengthen coordination with agricultural, rural, and forestry authorities.
