The 2023 Guiyang geographical disaster prevention and control training session was held on Dec 15.
The event was held by the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, and undertaken by the municipal geographical disaster emergency response center.
Combining on-site teaching and livestreaming, the session was attended by more than 80 government staff members and nearly 3,000 online visitors, effectively improving public awareness of geographical disaster prevention and control.
Li Yangchun, deputy director of the Guizhou Geographical Disaster Emergency Response Technical Guidance Center, gave lectures, explaining relevant policies and principles issued by the State Council and Guizhou government and specific approaches to geographical disaster precaution and comprehensive control.
The prevention and control work of geographical disasters concerns people's lives, properties, and social stability, and is highly professional and systematic. The Guiyang natural resources and planning system has been completing its natural disaster investigation and monitoring network and conducting related training to minimize the potential loss caused during these disasters.
