Guiyang City and Guian New Area's 3D real scene construction project has delivered initial results, according to a news conference on Dec 4 organized by the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning.
Last year, the bureau initiated the project's construction, and has established the Guiyang and Guian 3D real scene application platform since then.
A 3D real scene refers to spatial-temporal information that expresses a virtual space in three-dimensions and in a time-dependent manner. It is an important new infrastructure and a crucial component in the construction of digital twin cities. Currently, the development of 3D real scenes has become an essential part of urban digital transformation, bringing significant changes to urban management and development.
Up to now, Guiyang and Guian have utilized technologies such as satellite remote sensing, aerial photography, and oblique photography to complete high-definition image maps covering an area of 8,525 square kilometers, including 400 sq m of Guiyang's main urban area.
