Bureau division inspects Guanshanhu's mining area

The ecological restoration division of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning participated in the on-site inspection of the Ganchong mining area in Guizhou's Guanshanhu district on Dec 13, 2023.

The inspection took place in order to further strengthen the supervision and technical guidance of geological environment restoration work and management processes.

The inspection team listened to the progress report of the Guizhou branch of Aluminum Corporation of China Ltd. The mining area has been basically restored, but there are still some shortcomings.

The industrial square has not been included in the restoration work, the planted vegetation is relatively single, and the greening effect is not ideal. Additionally, some restored plots lack drainage ditches and retaining walls for soil protection.

The division suggested selecting suitable local plants to create a combination of trees, shrubs, and grass that will ensure the greening effect. Efforts should also be made to improve the drainage ditches and retaining walls of each restored plot to ensure stability.
