A signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning and the Shanghai Tongji Urban Planning and Design Institute Co was held on Jan 30.

Hu Xin, deputy director of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, Jiang Haobo, deputy director of the Shanghai Tongji Urban Planning and Design Institute Co, and Feng Xiaowei, director of the Guiyang Urban Planning and Design Institute, attended the signing ceremony as witnesses.

Hu Xin stated that currently, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area are doubling down on efforts to become an ecologically civilized city with international influence. It also strives to be a famous tourist city, and the data valley of China. The Tongji Planning Institute, a century-old institution rooted in Tongji University, has a strong foundation in education, scientific research, and talent. It also enjoys an excellent reputation in the field of urban and rural planning.

It is hoped that both sides will establish an efficient communication mechanism and carry out comprehensive strategic cooperation in urban planning and construction, research topics, academic exchanges, advisory opinions, and talent cultivation. These efforts will be done to create more urban planning and construction results.

Jiang Haobo mentioned that in recent years, the pace of urban construction in Guiyang and Gui'an has been continuously accelerating, and the urban landscape is changing rapidly. The institute will fully leverage its research resources, platform, and talent advantages to provide planning services and intellectual support for the high-quality development of Guiyang and Gui'an.
