In the beginning of February, the comprehensive law enforcement team of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning carried out investigations in Nanming district, Huaxi district and Qingzhen city, all of which are located in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Eight of the investigated locations in Qingzhen city and Nanming district were related to farmland protection and environmental protection. Team members also inspected the current land rehabilitation situation.
On Feb 2, the team, along with representatives from several provincial government departments, visited locations in Huaxi district that were related to illegal land use.
It was urged that these places should obey the farmland protection principle. They should firmly implement work plans for safe production, enhance patrol and supervision in abandoned mines and illegal mining sites, crack down on illegal mining activities, and protect people's lives and properties, as well as the local ecosystem.
