Guiyang completes 6 reclaimed water distribution pilot projects

Guiyang city in Southwest China's Guizhou province has so far completed the construction of six reclaimed water distribution pilot projects. It is estimated that during the 2024-25 period, the city will build another 14 such projects.

These projects are an important move by the local government to propel the highly efficient utilization of water resources, and achieve sustainable development in the region. These reasonably planned projects, and the scale of reclaimed water they will recover, will facilitate Guiyang's goal of maximizing the use of local sewage.

The city has realized its optimal sewage processing volume and facility maintenance entities, and utilized reclaimed water plants in its urban areas. It has also researched the exact water quantity and quality demand from municipal sanitation and greening units, wetlands, and residential areas.

The reclaimed water distribution pilot projects will be implemented mainly in Nanming, Huaxi, Yunyan, Wudang, Baiyun and Guanshanhu districts.
