Inspections focus on farmland availability, safe production

On March 6, a comprehensive law enforcement team from the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning conducted an inspection at China Aluminum Mining Co in Qingzhen city, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The inspection was conducted as a way to emphasize that mineral resources are the foundation of industrial development.

Local mining companies were urged to transform their production methods, refine their management systems, enhance their economic efficiency, and increase the guarantee capacity of their mineral resources.

It was stressed that mining companies must fulfill their primary responsibility: safe production. They must strictly carry out mining work in accordance with current laws and regulations, and ensure that no major safety accidents occur.

On March 7, the team invited Guan Li, of the Guizhou Department of Natural Resources, to join them as they inspected arable land plots that were suspected sites of illegal occupation. These inspections occurred in Xindian town, Weicheng town, and the Chaofeng sub-district of Qingzhen.

Guan emphasized the need to use farmlands in accordance with laws and regulations in order to ensure the availability of arable land and food security.
