From March 14 to 15, the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning conducted on-site inspections in Qingzhen city and Xiuwen county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, to examine the progress of ecological restoration projects related to abandoned mines.

Staff members from Guizhou Non-ferrous Geology Engineering Investigation Co, as well as government officials from the bureau's branches in Qingzhen and Xiuwen, also participated in the inspection.

During the on-site inspection in Qingzhen, the following issues were identified: there were many stones in the soil covering the mine, and there were discrepancies between local treatment methods and the project's design.

Qingzhen was requested to accelerate its progress in locations that had not completed restoration and treatment tasks. This will ensure that it will meet the preliminary county-level acceptance requirements by April 5.

During the on-site inspections in Xiuwen county, the following issues were identified: due to seasonal influences, the survival rate of vegetation in the reclaimed areas was low, and there were discrepancies between local treatment methods and the project's design.

Xiuwen county was instructed to replant and supplement vegetation in the reclaimed areas, and to complete relevant tasks as soon as possible.
