Recently, with the rise in temperature, there has been an increase in the use of fire for agricultural activities and religious ceremonies among the public. In the last few days, Gaozhai village in Kaiyang county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has intensified patrols, strengthened checkpoint duties, and implemented various measures to ensure the effective prevention of forest fires.

To address the use of fire for agricultural activities, the village has established seven village groups and deployed 17 forest rangers to closely monitor key sections, rigorously patrolling their assigned areas.

Through activities such as village representative meetings and household visits, the village has carried out extensive publicity and education activities, helping villagers to understand the importance of environmental protection. These efforts guide villagers to consciously refrain from burning straw, weeds, leaves, and garbage, ensuring that their farmland is not at risk of fire.

As the Qingming Festival approaches and the public engage in more outdoor worship activities, Gaozhai village has posted promotional slogans at key locations, reminding the public not to set off fireworks or firecrackers, and not to burn incense or paper. This will create a green, civilized, and safe worship environment.

At the entrances and exits of cemeteries, two forest fire prevention advisory points have been set up to strictly inspect vehicles and individuals entering the mountains, prohibiting any source of fire from entering the forest area.
