World Earth Day promotion activity raises public awareness

April 22 marked the 55th World Earth Day. Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, located in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, organized a themed promotion activity on that day in Guanshanhu district.

Centering on the theme "cherish the earth, and promote the human-nature coexistence", the event disseminated knowledge on natural resource policies and sciences, as well as new development patterns and technologies, and guided the public to follow sustainable concepts of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" and "human-nature coexistence".

A variety of exhibition boards were displayed at the event, showcasing the introduction to the World Earth Day, national land space ecological renovation plans, farmland protection, geological disasters and abandoned mine restoration.

Staff members of the bureau also provided consultation services to residents on site. Interesting quizzes and other interactive games were arranged, and winners of these games received delicate gifts prepared by the bureau.
