Huaxi hosts geological disaster prevention awareness promotion event

On May 12, a geological disaster prevention awareness promotion event, hosted by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Natural Resources and organized by the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, Huaxi district's government, and Guizhou Provincial Geological Disaster Emergency Technical Guidance Center, was held at Huaxi Park in Guiyang.

The event aimed to enhance grassroots disaster prevention and risk avoidance. The event site was divided into several areas: a display area, a lecture area, a gift area, and an audience area. The display area, set up with tents, showcased various disaster risks by category.

Videos related to geological disasters were played, and educational brochures were distributed. Over 50 staff members from relevant provincial and municipal units, community workers, park managers, and volunteers participated in the event, attracting hundreds of citizens.

An interactive game focusing on disaster prevention and mitigation theme was held, which included fun quizzes and simulation drills to test participants' disaster prevention knowledge and response capabilities, with awards given to the winning teams.

The event also featured live photo and video broadcasts, which were shared in real time through new media platforms, allowing more people to participate online.
