On June 21, Qingzhen city in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province experienced a period of sustained heavy rainfall.

In response to the sudden downpour, Qingzhen activated its emergency response mechanism to fully ensure the safety of people and their property.

At the Qingzhen bureau of natural resources and planning, there are six teams of technical support personnel who, based on disaster reports and warning information, promptly conduct field inspections and investigations in towns and streets daily.

To effectively advance geological disaster prevention efforts, the bureau has preemptively strengthened its personnel, refined emergency plans, and strictly enforced various protocols, including 24-hour on-duty shifts.

"Relying on the early warning information issued by the provincial geological disaster prevention and control platform, we have currently evacuated 42 households," said Lin Risong, deputy director of the bureau.

On June 22, the Qingzhen comprehensive administrative enforcement bureau deployed 38 personnel and made over 20 trips to clear and unblock waterlogged road sections and set up warning signs, and assigned specific personnel to ensure residents could travel safely.
