Li Chunsheng, deputy director of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, led a team to Wudang district in Guiyang city to oversee the rehabilitation of historically abandoned mines and disaster prevention projects funded by national bonds.

The team conducted on-site inspections of the projects and held a meeting to discuss progress.

Li emphasized the critical importance and urgency of ecological restoration for abandoned mines.

He urged learning from past delays, overcoming challenges, and implementing multiple strategies to meet high standards and complete the restoration by the end of August 2024.

He also stressed the need for robust safety management, insisting on strict adherence to safety protocols to prevent any violations and ensure safety first.

During the inspection of the landslide risk management project at Sanjiang village, some hazardous rock formations had not been fully cleared, posing safety risks.

Li called for a comprehensive re-examination to ensure all loose rocks were removed. He urged construction units to enhance coordination and communication and promptly address any issues in the bond-funded projects to avoid delays.

He additionally highlighted the importance of maintaining safety during the rainy season to ensure the projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
