On Sept 2, He Moujun, director of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, conducted an inspection in Guanshanhu district to review the ecological restoration progress on abandoned mines and the reclamation of temporary land.
During his visit, He emphasized the need for a multifaceted approach to effectively advance mine ecological restoration and land reclamation efforts. He highlighted that these efforts are crucial for building a beautiful Guiyang where humans and nature coexist in harmony.
He and his team visited several key sites, including the abandoned mine sand and gravel plant. They conducted on-site inspections to assess the progress of the restoration projects and received detailed reports on the ecological restoration and land reclamation efforts.
He called for strengthened interdepartmental cooperation, focusing on resolving conflicts arising from restoration projects and following the principle of "addressing the easier issues first, making key breakthroughs, and advancing comprehensively".
He also urged for increased efforts in rectification, emphasizing the strict implementation of the "deadline system" and "completion and cancellation system" for resolving issues. He called for rigorous supervision and management, closely monitoring the goals and specific measures of mine ecological restoration and land reclamation efforts.
Regular follow-ups and evaluations of the restoration work were also highlighted as essential to the success of these initiatives.
