On Sept 13, He Moujun, director of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, presided over a pivotal meeting on digitalization to advance information technology initiatives.
During the session, participants reviewed reports on Guiyang's natural resource information systems and discussed key topics such as smart planning, application scenarios, platform integration, and data sharing.
Attendees also engaged in in-depth discussions, sharing insights and practical experiences related to the bureau's digitalization efforts.
He emphasized the critical importance of digital infrastructure in enhancing the efficient use, protection, and management of resources and outlined a strategic approach driven by four key principles: standardization, process optimization, integration, and smart technologies.
He also set forth several directives for the next phase of work, highlighting comprehensive research on smart planning to inform future initiatives and integrating business data to promote effective data governance and achieve seamless data sharing.
In addition, He stressed that advanced technologies such as drones, remote sensing imagery, and radar should be applied in various ways, including planning metrics and landscape control, farmland protection, mine supervision and ecological restoration, geological disaster prevention, and land use.
He noted the significance of strategically planning and prioritizing key areas, particularly in mine management, ecological restoration, and smart registration of real estate, in addressing and resolving prominent and challenging issues in natural resource management.
