A delegation led by He Moujun, director of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, on Nov 18 conducted an inspection in Baiyun district of Guiyang city to oversee the handling of complaints forwarded by the central ecological and environmental protection team.
At Shenghui Quarry in Shangshui village, He Moujun examined the progress of drainage ditch clearing and household waste removal. He also reviewed the preliminary efforts in mine restoration and vegetation maintenance.
He emphasized the importance of green development and urged a steadfast commitment to an eco-friendly growth path. He also called for robust promotion of ecological restoration in mining areas to support Guiyang's high-quality development.
He stressed the need for precise and orderly measures, such as clearing dangerous rock slopes, backfilling pits, soil protection, and vegetation restoration, to effectively address mining-related complaints.
He also highlighted the importance of long-term governance, advocating for a comprehensive approach to rectifying issues identified by the central ecological and environmental protection team. To enhance and sustain ecological improvements, regular inspections and guidance are recommended.
