Representatives from Xifeng county, Guiyang discussed the current status of resource protection and development, while the department's survey division provided updates on ongoing resource investigation efforts.
Participants discussed challenges, potential solutions, and recommendations for legislative research to manage and utilize karst cave resources effectively.
Ning Yin, deputy director of the Guizhou Department of Justice, emphasized the inclusion of this legislative initiative in the annual plans of both the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee and the provincial government.
She highlighted the importance of balancing foundational surveys with legislative research, conservation with development, and safety with economic benefits.
Additionally, she stressed the need for clear responsibilities across departments and comprehensive legal frameworks to leverage Guizhou's abundance of karst caves.
