On Jan 22, He Moujun, director of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, presided over a meeting to review the implementation plan for the Integrated Ecological Protection and Restoration Project in the Central Guizhou Urban Ecological Functional Zone, a key area within the Yangtze River ecological region.

Guizhou Youse Geological Engineering Survey Co presented a detailed report covering the project's significance, ecological challenges, overall strategy, construction plans, investment estimates, and expected benefits.

He emphasized the urgency and necessity of the project, particularly in addressing soil erosion, karst ecosystem fragility, and environmental damage caused by mining – critical concerns for local communities.

He called for a well-structured, targeted, and comprehensive plan to transform ecological resources into economic benefits and utilize ecological advantages for sustainable development.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening project proposals, ensuring clear division of responsibilities among relevant departments, and improving coordination with national and provincial authorities.
