Promoting efficient and precise mining is crucial for accelerating the high-quality development and modernization of Southwest China's Guizhou province. According to the Guizhou Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Planning, the province is committed to "discovering better and larger mineral resources."
Since 2022, Guizhou has launched a new round of strategic actions to achieve breakthroughs in mineral exploration, which has yielded significant results.
One of the most notable achievements is the discovery of 650 million metric tons of phosphate resources. In central Guizhou, a fully concealed large-scale bauxite deposit has been identified, with newly discovered reserves exceeding 50 million tons–marking the region's most significant breakthrough in bauxite exploration in nearly 30 years.
Guizhou also holds Asia's largest manganese ore reserves, totaling 880 million tons.
In addition to precise exploration, Guizhou has strengthened its approach to resource allocation through targeted distribution strategies. The province prioritizes high-quality enterprises, adopts market-driven allocation methods, and promotes industrial synergy to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Guizhou also emphasizes "refined mining" as a key aspect of efficient resource utilization. The province aims to minimize resource waste and reduce environmental impact by employing scientific extraction methods and advanced technologies, ensuring sustainable and high-quality development in the mining sector.
