The Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning hosted a specialized training session on March 25, focusing on geological disaster prevention and emergency duty protocols for 2025 to enhance comprehensive disaster prevention capabilities.
The training improved participants' understanding of the dual-control mechanism for geological disaster management, strengthening their ability to identify risks, take precautionary measures, and perform self-rescue and mutual aid in emergencies.
Li Yangchun, deputy director of Guizhou Provincial Geological Disaster Emergency Technical Guidance Center, delivered a lecture on "The Practice of Dual-Control in Geological Disaster Prevention," explaining the transition from single-point hazard control to the "hazard point + risk slope" dual-control mechanism.
His presentation covered key aspects such as establishing a dual-control investigation and evaluation system, developing a multi-dimensional monitoring and early warning network, advancing comprehensive treatment projects, and examining the results of pilot programs. Participants gained practical and replicable insights through case studies of successful disaster avoidance.
Lin Baojun, a Guiyang Geological Disaster Prevention Center engineer, conducted a session on the operational protocols for geological disaster prevention duty shifts. He emphasized discipline during the flood season and outlined procedures for early warning responses, information reporting, and emergency handling. A simulated emergency response exercise was also conducted to strengthen participants' capabilities in crisis management.
This training session enhanced awareness and practical skills in geological disaster prevention, ensuring a more effective disaster response system in Guiyang.
