Guiyang bureau awarded prize at natural resources communication competition

Zuo Rongman, representing the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, was awarded second prize at the 2025 Guizhou Science Communication Competition on Natural Resources.

Zuo stood out from 20 contestants across Guizhou province with her solid scientific knowledge, engaging presentation skills, and innovative display methods.

Zuo's presentation, Decoding "Cool Guiyang" : Scientific Secrets Behind Mountains, Waters, and Culture, revealed the scientific, cultural, and technological codes embedded in Guiyang's "Six Cool Features". Her talk captured Guiyang's unique identity, scientific depth, and playful charm using precise language, vivid examples, and dynamic demonstrations.

This year's competition focused on natural resources science, technological innovation, national policies, and core professional work. Contestants were encouraged to explain significant scientific achievements related to natural resources in an accessible and compelling way.

In recent years, the bureau of natural resources and planning has strongly emphasized natural resource education. Utilizing events such as Earth Day, National Land Day, and the Guiyang Children's Hand-drawn Map Contest, the bureau continues to expand its influence in science communication.
