The Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning organized a comprehensive on-site inspection of mining operations for five active mining enterprises in Guiyang's Qingzhen county-level city and Xifeng county on April 23 and 24.
The inspections brought together officials from departments including mining rights, geological exploration, ecological restoration, surveying and mapping, and law enforcement, along with industry experts. The focus was on ensuring legal compliance and promoting sustainable resource use.
Authorities verified the validity of mining licenses and examined whether proper signage and boundary markers had been installed. They ensured operations were being conducted within approved areas, that only permitted minerals were being mined, and that only authorized mining methods were being used. The submission of excavation and stripping project maps was also reviewed.
Inspectors assessed the formulation and public disclosure of integrated plans for green mining practices, as well as the collection and use of geological environment restoration funds. Restoration efforts were checked for compliance and effectiveness, with completed projects evaluated for timely acceptance.
Additional checks included the maintenance of dynamic reserve ledgers, real-time reserve monitoring, and the accuracy of annual reserve reports based on monitoring results.
