Liu Jianchun, a senior consultant from the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, visited the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone on May 8 to inspect and guide local efforts in geological hazard prevention.
During the visit, Liu was briefed by officials from the bureau's Shuanglong branch and the zone's business environment service center on the current progress of geological hazard mitigation. He also conducted an on-site inspection of the Baiyanping landslide risk area.
Liu acknowledged the progress made in disaster prevention and emphasized the need for continued vigilance. He urged relevant departments and local authorities to strengthen awareness of geological risks and fulfill their disaster prevention responsibilities.

He called for enhanced departmental coordination, the establishment of shared information and joint response mechanisms, and the implementation of practical, effective measures. Liu also stressed the importance of identifying risks early, improving early warning systems, and conducting emergency drills.
Priority must be given to hidden hazard remediation, with a focus on high-risk areas and weak links. He encouraged the use of advanced technology to improve inspection efficiency, maintain dynamic hazard records, and apply engineering measures or real-time monitoring for major risk points.
Liu concluded by underscoring the importance of strong supervision and emergency preparedness. He called for strict adherence to 24-hour duty systems and improved communication and response capacity. He also advocated for the integration of meteorological and hydrological data to enhance the precision of early warnings.
