After careful review, 408 works have been selected as winners for the 10th Guizhou Children's Hand-Drawn Map Competition, with some exemplary pieces to be featured in an online public vote to determine the winner of the Most Popular Award. These winners are now publicly announced and can be seen online from Aug 21 to 27.
After city-level judging, 2,509 of the competition's 9,178 initial entries advanced to the provincial round, which was evaluated on Aug 15 by experts organized by the Guizhou Department of Natural Resources.
The judging panel included nine renowned specialists in art, education, science, and cartography from provincial institutions, such as the Guizhou Association for Science and Technology and the Guizhou Institute of Surveying and Mapping.

The experts conducted blind evaluations across four age groups. Art, education, science, and mapping specialists shortlisted outstanding works, while map experts screened out flawed entries.
