Guiyang officials lead Xiuwen River inspection

On Sept 3, Li Chunsheng, deputy head of the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, led a team to conduct a river patrol along the Xiuwen River.

The inspection began at a tributary, Xiahegou River, where the team checked for direct discharge of domestic sewage and listened to reports from the branch of the Guiyang bureau of ecology and environment in Baiyun district on population conditions in the residential area of Lindong Coal Mine and sewage treatment solutions.

After the field inspection, a meeting was held to discuss progress. Li praised the achievements of the river chief system in Xiuwen county during the first eight months of this year, and emphasized the need to continue strengthening river patrols and management. He called on efforts to conduct regular inspections, identify and address issues promptly. He also urged enhanced public awareness campaigns to encourage community participation in protecting the river.
