Guanshanhu flower-viewing hiking event draws over 700 participants

Taking advantage of the beautiful spring weather, a flower-viewing hiking event was held across Haoguan and Changchong villages of Zhuchang town in Guiyang's Guanshanhu district.

As part of Zhuchang's spring flower appreciation series, the event attracted more than 700 hiking enthusiasts and visitors, who embarked on an immersive rural wellness journey amid golden cole flower fields.

The 7.74-kilometer route was designed to circle the core flower area of Haoguan, winding through the golden fields. Pastoral-themed photo spots and designated vantage points for the best photography angles were set up, drawing participants to capture the beauty of spring.

This event was not only a gathering for hiking and fitness but also a vivid demonstration of how culture and tourism integration can promote rural vitalization. Local folk culture experiences were also incorporated, as villagers showcased their traditional craftsmanship to hikers, who could also participate in interactive check-in activities to earn points, enhancing their sense of involvement and adding to the fun.

The end of the hike led to the main venue for the cultural performance in Haoguan. After completing the route, participants enjoyed wonderful artistic performances, browsed the rural market, and sampled fresh strawberries.

A DIY area for kites and pinwheels also allowed children and their parents to paint spring-themed elements and experience the joy of pastoral handicrafts.
