A coordination meeting on the rectification of key mineral resource management issues was held on May 24 by the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning, bringing together officials from departments responsible for mining rights administration, geological exploration, and ecological restoration.
Discussions focused on three key areas: mining rights that have been acquired but not explored or developed, delayed or insufficient payment of mining rights transfer revenues, and the failure of some mining enterprises to allocate ecological restoration funds in accordance with regulations.
Participants examined the status of ongoing rectification efforts, identified existing shortcomings, and assessed the overall campaign situation.
The meeting emphasized the importance of the special rectification initiative and called for stronger regulatory oversight and clearer accountability among relevant departments and local authorities.
Authorities were instructed to ensure that all identified problems are fully resolved through a closed-loop management approach.
