Guizhou is bringing administrative approval services closer to businesses through face-to-face policy consultations designed to resolve practical difficulties and improve the business environment.

The Provincial Department of Natural Resources held an on-site consultation session on Aug 12, focusing on frequently requested services in the mining sector. Officials provided businesses with direct explanations, one-on-one answers, and step-by-step guidance on issues including mining rights changes, late-payment fees, reserve assessments, associated mineral registration, and historical issues.

Rather than simply explaining policies, officials combined regulations with practical procedures to provide clear answers and workable solutions. Businesses that were unable to attend in person could also join through telephone consultations, ensuring that their questions received timely responses.

Five mining rights holders attended the session in person, while two other companies sought advice remotely.

The initiative is part of Guizhou's broader efforts to deepen reforms aimed at streamlining government functions, delegating powers, and improving regulation and services. By bringing policy interpretation and administrative guidance closer to businesses, the province aims to make approval procedures more transparent, efficient, and accessible.

Guizhou plans to make such consultation sessions a regular service, further simplifying procedures, reducing approval requirements, and providing more targeted support for businesses. The goal is to create a government service system that is transparent, streamlined, responsive, and business-friendly, supporting high-quality economic and social development.
