Guiyang leader urges stronger project delivery in Yunyan

Guiyang Mayor Wang Hong inspected economic and social development and workplace safety in Yunyan district on Sept 29, calling for faster, higher-quality project construction and stronger momentum for economic growth.

During visits to several development projects, Wang reviewed planning, construction progress, and workplace safety. He urged local authorities and relevant departments to strengthen services and management throughout the project life cycle, accelerate construction, and improve quality and efficiency to support steady investment growth.

He also stressed that enterprises must prioritize workplace safety, strictly implement on-site safety measures, and ensure construction quality to deliver safe, high-quality projects.

At a subsequent on-site meeting, Wang listened to a report on Yunyan's economic and social development. He called on the district to take greater responsibility, refine tasks, and ensure it meets annual targets, while stepping up efforts in the fourth quarter to contribute more to Guiyang's high-quality development.

Wang urged Yunyan to strengthen key sectors, including industry, construction, finance, and services, while improving coordination and addressing weaknesses.

To stimulate consumption, he encouraged innovation in culture, tourism, sports, commerce, and residential services, with distinctive and immersive experiences to further energize Guiyang's appeal.

Wang emphasized that workplace safety and social stability must remain top priorities, with concrete measures to prevent major accidents and protect public safety.
