Guiyang retirees celebrate Chongyang Festival with cultural and aerospace visits

Retired officials from the Guiyang bureau of natural resources and planning visited the Confucius Academy Cultural Center in Huaxi district and the Guiyang station of the aerospace system on Oct 20 to celebrate the Chongyang Festival (also known as the Double Ninth Festival).

Bathed in the warm autumn sunshine, the retirees explored the Confucius Academy Cultural Center, where colorful foliage complemented the traditional architecture.

During the tour, they learned about the lives and teachings of Confucius and Wang Yangming, the essence of Confucian classics, and the evolution of traditional Chinese culture. They also reflected on the enduring values of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trustworthiness.

The group then visited the Guiyang station of the aerospace system, where they gained a closer look at China's aerospace achievements and learned about the dedication behind the country's space endeavors.

The bureau then held a gathering to extend festive greetings and best wishes to the retired officials. Representatives briefed them on the bureau's recent priorities, development achievements, and plans, while listening to their concerns and soliciting suggestions on the bureau's development and services for retired staff members.

The retirees shared memories of their years of service and discussed changes at the bureau, expressing appreciation for the organization's continued care and support.
